Gauntanamo Bay is where the US has a detainment camp for people outside of the Unisted States who theu believe are involved in terrorist activities. They keep them here, and use "interrogation" techniques to get information out of them. U.S. policy says that they have to be treated "humanely", but the Department of Defense has never really told what all they do to the detainees.
Then three is a table of the dates in which certain interrogation techniques have passed through the government.

The Nandi Bear

They say that the Nandi bear is a bear from Africa that people from the Nandi tribe have seen and described. European settlers have also reported seeing the bear, and the descriptions sound exactly like a bear, right down to its posture and mannerisms.
The author of this site said that the descriptions had to be the truth or "outright lies or hallucinations". So I guess it's the latter.
The Nandi bear is small, no more than five feet tall when standing on its hind legs. They climb trees and are very good at it, which is how they escape from people. They look almost exactly similar to the European brown bear.
The article makes a comment about how the Nandi bear can be a surviving remnant of the Atlas bear, but then it lists all the things that they don't have in common and why they wouldn't be. So I guess that whole section wouldn't help the side that there is a Nandi bear.
The Nandi could have come from the Middle East and traveled to Eastern Africa when they found the hospitable forests. Then the ew settlers could have destroyed the link that connected the Nandi bears to the brown bears. Since the Nandi bears are now in a new climate and cut off from the other species, they would have picked up all the new traits that the brown bear doesnt have.
Other explanations of the Nandi bear are that it is an undiscovered species of giant baboons. But this is mainly because the Nandi tribes have not had any experience with bears and would have to compare this animal with something that they know, which would be a monkey. Crytptozoologists have compared it to a hyena family. That would explain why it was in the area that it is, and it would look a lot like a bear.

Halloween is coming...

This website is called "P.R.I.S.M" for Paranormal Research & Investigative Studies Midwest. This group is based in Omaha, NE and St. Louis, MO with satellite teams in these spots. Their goal is to record and capture as much evidence as possible to prove that paranormal exists. They are also like the ghostbusters because they can go to your house or place of business. Everything is free of charge, and no information will be released without the consent of those involved.
The website has a bunch of links at the sides with titles called "our investigations", and "our best evidence". They have an area where people can submit their own pictures of what they believe show ghosts or paranormal activity.
This site has a lot of things that you can look at that helps support them in their belief that there is paranormal. It's actually very interesting to look at.

Cottingley Fairies

This website talks about the story of the Cottingley Fairy hoax.
In 1916/17 two girls names Frances and Elsie had been teased because they had told a story about them seeing fairies. Elsie borrowed her father's camera, took some pictures, and when they were developed there were pictures of the girls with fairies.
Mr. Wright, the developer banned her from using his camera again and put the pictures into a drawer. He thought that the fairies must have been made out of paper, but his wife however thought that it was real.
A year later Frances wrote letters to friends in South Africa talking about her everyday life and just mentioning the fairies in casual conversaiton, like it was an everyday thing. She put a picture in the envelope too.
Then, a couple years later Mrs. Wright went to a lecture on fairies and told the story of the pictures of the girls with fairies. People overheard her conversation and a man named Edward Gardner asked to see them. Gardner brought the pictures to a photographer who had the ability to examine them fully to see if they were authentic. The photographer said that they were completely genuine and unfaked. Gardner then wanted one other expert (Kodak's) to look at the photo and if they were not faked, he would write an article about them in the Strand article.
Kodak said that the pictures had not been tampered with, but fairies aren't real, so something is not right about the photo.
Gardner then went to Cottingley to interview and speak with Mrs. Wright and Elsie. So when the kids were out, Gardner went through the girl's rooms and looked around outside for any sign of something that would tell him the pictures were either real or fake. He didnt find anything. So in 1920 we published an article called "An Epoch Making Event- Fairies Photographed".
after that there was a lot of controversy and even more people coming out and saying that they saw fairies and wrote books about seeing fairies.
In 1983 Elsie wrote a letter saying that the fairies had been drawn by them, cut out, and pinned with hatpins. So that solved the mystery!

The first drug that can save pretty much everyone from getting cancer is called "Cesium Chloride". Apparently this isn't covered my insurance companies so the cost is very high for it, and it comes right out of your pocket. The second teatment is "oxygen therapies" which he means to be ozone, which is activated oxygen. He says that ozone can get rid of AIDS, but if the same dangerous lifestyle is continued, the virus can come back...
I found that to be very interesting. There is a cure for AIDS, and no one even knew about it...
The authr goes on to list a few more practices that aren't allowed in the United States, but have been very successful elsewhere. The author also makes a comment about how the United States is so dependent on drugs in their lives, seeing as everything goes wrong, that parents even find reasons to get their kids on drugs (ritalin) because they are preparing them for the future when everything will depend on the use of medicine and drugs.
I thought this article was very interesting. I had never known that urine, along with obscene amounts of vitamin C could cure so many diseases...
and since these are so easy to get, why aren't we? It must be the FDA... or it could be that I don't want to drink my own urine. That might be it.

Denying the Holocaust...

The blog enrty that I had read is about why certain groups have denied that the Holocaust ever happened. In the west, the Holocaust itseslf isnt so much denied as the fundamental history. Like the gas chambers and the methods as to which the Jews were killed. However, in Germany where the Holocaust is denied is mostly coming from those who want to restore Germany's good name, as well as rehabilitate Fascism. In the Muslin world though, most of the denying is because the Islamic people are so infuriated that the Jews are being victimized by what has happened. The blog says that there are three main reasons why the Islamic people deny the Holocaust is because the want to make Europe look bad because they think Europe looks at itself as the tolerant and welcoming to outsiders. The second reason is because they want to demoralize the existence of Israel because they see themselves as the "legacy of the Nazis' victims" and the solution if another Holocaust were to happen. The last reason the blogger said is because they want to attack the United States because we use th Holocaust as a moral teaching against antisemitism.
The blogger said that if the United States along with the west and central Europe had not taken this stance on the Holocaust, there would be no point in denying it.
Then the issue of the Iranian President denying the Holocaust. The blog talks about the division that it has caused between the people and how there better not be a surge of people the agree with him and make him out to be some kind of martyr.

Shazam!
This is my blog spot. I do what I want. This is the first one that I am going to write. Super exciting. I know. So I went home this weekend, it was pretty decent. A lot of my friends came back which is ridiculous because we've only been in school for about a week. Oh well. I had a good time. And I'm not going back home until I have to, like on breaks, because I forgot that all my friends at home suck.
